Hi Adonis,
The next update is under way and should be up soon! :) There are a lot of components that go into each entry but I’m working hard on getting it up by mid April. Thanks so much for your comment!
Well if this isn’t the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. World building was a hobby I’d had for a long time that I really thought I was alone in the practice of, I’m excited to know someone actually takes this more seriously then even I do. Do you plan to get contracts with game/film development companies for you work? Do you plan to use the work you have done here as more than just a portfolio/inspiration, perhaps licensing the Morae and Red Valley ip’s to various development groups? Perhaps you want to keep the ip’s as a free license for writers and other artists to use (with permissions, this has always been my way of doing things with music and art)? Either way, if you need any help or want to discuss anything with someone desperately interested in your work just let me know, right now I’m brushing up on my behavioral biology and myrmecology for university so my mind is ready for some fun!
Hi Dougal, Thanks so much for your comment! I happy you’re enjoying the project so far. World building is great fun. There are quite a few world builders out there, sometimes they are just hard to find. As far as this project is concerned, I’m more looking into print and book publishing. Although, I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of making a short film or something. For now, it’s still beginning. I’m always open to people creating images based on what I do too. I appreciate your interest and will keep in touch! I hope you visit the site for more updates! Good luck with your classes, those subjects sound fascinating!
Hello again Brynn, firstly i’m glad to hear that the red valley will be underway again soon and secondly, I had been thinking about world building in general lately and about your work and I had an idea, perhapes you’ve already thought of this, but you did mention awhile back that you might go back to the Morae River at some point, well, I was thinking, what if the Red Valley and the Morae River were just two different regions within the same world, though I was kind of assuming the Red Valley wouldn’t be your last place to explore, but anyway its just an idea I had, i’m sure it already crossed your mind, thanks.
Hi Franklin,
This did actually cross my mind. As of now I am uncertain if they are part of the same world/planet/idea. It would be interesting to see a connection between the two projects. For now I’m planning to keep them separate but you never know how project evolve down the road. ;) Thanks so much for your comment!
Hey, been a fan of the Morae River in the past and always love these world building project. Can’t wait to see you have planned for the Red Valley. With the life forms in the Red Valley should we expect ones similar to the Morae River or things totally new and bizarre?
Hi Scotty, I’m glad you enjoyed The Morae River! For the Red Valley, I’m wanting the life-forms to fall somewhere inbetween. I’m designing them to feel familiar but odd at the same time. That doesn’t give too much away but I’m hoping to have some fauna profiles up very soon so you can see what I’m talking about. ;) Thanks so much for your comment!
can’t wait for the updates i have always been interested in your work! ;D btw hav you ever thought making some kind of primitive/steampunk-styled civilization with humanoids in your planets?
Thanks! I’m excited to keep moving forward. I’ve played with the idea of involving a humanoid element a few times with The Morae River. I know that the Red Valley wont have anything like that though. I was part of a design group in school that made something along those lines though. It was really fun! ;) Thanks for your comments!
First, I have to say I only recently stumbled across your work and i’m already a rather big fan, I really enjoyed your work on the Morae River project and I was saddened by its discontinuation, but now i’m really looking forward to your exploration of the Red Valley, but I was curious as to how you intend to explore it with no regions and no classifications? Personally I would have trouble envisioning a world without some degree of classification, though i’m certain you already have some idea how your going to deal with that. Either way I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
Hi Franklin. Thanks so much for looking through my work. I’m happy you enjoy it. :) As for your question, I have a loose idea in my head of how it will play out. Unfortunately, it will have to remain unsaid until the project starts. It’s sort of an experiment so I’m looking forward to seeing if it will work or not myself. Thanks again! :)
The sural is a medium sized scavenger that roams the northern region of The Red Valley. This species is well suited to roam across sand dunes and rocky hills in search of food, due to its padded feet that [...]
No New Update :’(
Don’t worry, soon. ;)
Brynn, when is the next update? I am really facinated by your work- it really keeps me inspired. ^^

Oh dear I seem to have missed the “about the artist and project” page.

Hi Adonis,
The second update is actually featuring both flora and fauna. It should be up by the end of this week! Stay tuned! ;)

found your work last year on the Morae river and was hooked, really looking forward to this new project.
Hi Marco, Thanks so much! :) I’m excited to begin very soon!
So I’m curious…as Autumn has been well under way for some time now, when can we expect to see some progress on your site?
Thank you Joe! As of now, it looks like posts will begin in early November. I’m really very excited to begin posting content!
