This project will not only focus on The Red Valley’s flora and fauna, but the landscape itself with all of its remarkable events and characteristics; showing the intimate relationships between the land and the beings that inhabit it. This place is shaped by its seasons as well as the flora and fauna who endure them.

[In 2008, I began a project called The Morae River; a project that started out as an exercise in world building and creature design. As the project grew, my fascination with The Morae River and it's inhabitants lessened and I began to think that I had chosen the wrong place to explore. In early 2011, I decided to shelve The Morae River Project and search for the place I'd explore next. The Red Valley is that place.]
